Penny Marshall the Tricolor Sheltie has been in her potential adopted home for almost two months. In that time, Penny has caught on quickly to leash training, and has limited her amount of accidents in the house! She seems to enjoy being around other animals (so far she has met multiple dogs of all breeds and sizes and two cats). She has met neighbors and friends while out on walks, and does not shy away from either men or women. She has been around 8-12 year old children as well, and she just loves the attention. Her favortie thing to do is to snuggle on the couch after I'm home from work. Her favorite toy is a blue rope toy, and her pizza toy! She has learned "crate" and will sprint upstairs and go directly in her crate at night, which is a huge milestone for Penny. She is slowly starting to learn how to come when called, although she is still skittsh with loud noises or a disrupt to the routine (which I expect will never fully go away). I imagine in another 4 months she will have progressed leaps and bounds! We are up to 4 walks per day, and she absolutely loves to be outside--her Sheltie smile is infectious, as I find myself smiling more and more each day she's with me.
